It's officially one month until Christmas! Wow, time flies when you're having fun. It's so strange to think: in a month I'll be writing my "Merry Christmas" blog post. But not quite yet. Today's event was nothing to do with Christmas. It was run by myself, Li, based on a kids games show, Trapped. In the show, six people are taken to the top of a tower. They complete challenges and on each challenge one person is the saboteur. They try to make the team fail. If the team fails, they vote for who they thought the saboteur was, and the person with the most votes is out. If the team wins, the saboteur is out anyway. Since our larger numbers, we had more than one saboteur each round! The team entered the tower... And the challenges began. The first challenge was to find Louisa Bluepie & Caitlin Lightlake hidden around SGEC. Our saboteurs, Becca, Eba & Alli, did their best to stop the team finding them, but it was all over just seconds before the timer! All three were, therefore, out of the game. The next challenge was to find the number plate with 1959 in. Dais, Leah & Brit were in charge of stopping FR from finding it. However, it turns out that FR are either nerds or cheated (and I think we all know which one is more likely) and Willz found the number plate right as the timer went off. Saboteurs once again, lost the game. Now testing their knowledge, they did a quiz about FR. When was I almost removed? Who made the uniform? FR lost this round with 3 wrong questions thanks to our two amazing saboteurs: Dotty & Ana. The team then voted for who they thought the saboteur was. Dotty & Ana didn't even get one vote! Instead, Sab got three and Liz got 2, with a few others getting 1. Sab & Liz were out. Now we headed to Moorland. The next game: tricking two players to come to ML paddock (respecting our fellow players at all times, of course). The saboteurs were Amby, Dotty (again), Kate and Ter. However, FR managed to pass the challenge so all four were out. Due to Dotty doing such a good job, I used my wild card (that I made up on the spot) to bring her back into the game. And so they battled it out in the final round. They were asked questions about the game. Who was out on the first round? Which answer had no votes on question 3? Dotty claimed the first answer, but Ana raced ahead and claimed the next three - making her the winner. Well done Ana! Thanks all for coming & helping out once you were out of the game. I hope to see you at events next week. Oh, hold on, none are planned... We have made a new event submission so if you want to run an event, here is your chance. If you have mailed me before about running an event and haven't run it yet, please fill it out on the form. Hugs, Li xxx
