We are half way through our theme week and yesterday we had a Halloween hunt lead by Rebecca Archstorm (a leader) and her friend Donna Nightvalley. We were given a list of things to find and then in groups (or in my case a pair) let off around Jorvik to find them. It was of course Halloween themed! Once we had all of our things we raced back to Nilmer’s farm and had a BBQ. After Donna heroically counted all the points up we found out that it was a joint win of
Danielle Diamondnest, Avery Eaglestorm and Kate Southfoot Jenny Archlund, Ashely Deergren and Lily Macbridge It was a great event and everyone had a great time! Hugs Li xx

Today’s witch hunting event brought us to the foul smelling swamp. There everyone was given a clue to the first witch. Then when they arrived, they were given a clue to the second and so on until they reached the end. For anyone who was wondering the places were: 1. Pumpkin Hill 2. Jarls Tomb 3. The Bunker 4. Valedale Waterfall 5. End of the road to Ashlands The event ended in Dino Valley and the winning group were Liv Oaknight, Alice Dawnson and Courtney Hayfoot. Hugs
Li xx Halloween week started yesterday with a Trick-or-Treat event with one of our leader - Lilah Applewood. We started in GHV where an angel appeared telling us that her last wish was to go Trick-or-treating. But as an angel nothing can be done the easy way! So we were given a clue to where she would be and we had to go there. Once we were there we had to choose a house that either V, Li or Becca were at. When everyone had chosen, two of these houses would give tricks and one would give a treat. The one who got a treat won! The overall winners of the event were Aleksandrina Shyforest and Jenny Archlund. Well done guys! The happy angel departed this life.
Hugs Li xx Fabulous Western trail lesson today everyone! Thank you for those who came. We revised the basics of Western trail and then we covered some more advanced things. Western trail is for the rider and horse to display natural ability. It is a routine over some obsticals. I feel like last lesson we didn’t get enough in depth so I went through everything this lesson. For those of you interested in Western, here is the list. Basic features Opening/ closing a gate Walking across a bridge Cross over a log Back up (normally with a turn) turn on the hindquarters in a confined area Advanced features A small (under 15 inch) jump Going through water Doing a ground tie. Dismounting and walking away from the horse, then coming back. In a routine you need to show walk, trot and canter. Today we just, in pairs, made a routine and the winners were Aleksandrina Shyforest and Louisa Bluepie. Ally came along to the lesson to see if she wanted to rejoin the club, I’m happy to say that it turns out that she wants to join the club and the club wanted her to join! So welcome Ally.
Hugs Li Finally, Lilah Applewood ran a Frosty Roses have talent event. I was told their was some very interesting talent…I can’t say much more, it remains a mystery for all but those who were there! Well done to Louisa Bluepie who won with an amazing rant.
Second event I need to catch up on. Sadly I couldn’t make it but it was run by the wonderful Teagan Bravebear and it was a race through Jorvik, starting at Valley of the Hidden Dinosaur and ending at Sunset islands. The Frosties rocketed over the roads until they reached the end with astounding times! Everyone got under 14 minutes. So well done everyone and a big well done to all the top 4 and the Snowman team who won for the groups! Hugs
Li xx I’m here catching up on events as I’ve been away. On Thursday I, Li, ran a quadrille event. For those of you who aren’t aware of what quadrille is, it’s like dressage in a group of 5. However, I took a big leap and did it as the whole club! The amazing Courtney Hayloft filmed the whole thing. Just to say, the quality in the Riding Hall is quite hard to get good and I think Court managed it well. (Just to say, a subscribe on FR YouTube would be fab). Hugs
Li xx Today we had our fortnightly open event (for more information click here). Loads of people came, but just a note: only come if you are on the interest / short list or if you have applied in the last 3 days! At the event we started with a game of wink murder. We chose a detective and then a murder (that the detective didn’t know about as they were on ignore). Everyone started to ride around and if the murder went inside them they dismounted to say that they were out. The detective had 3 guesses to who was the murder! Then we played “Who am I”. Someone came up with a SSO NPC and then everyone has to ask them things like “are you male?”. The answers can only be yes or no! Then we went on a hack for a BBQ, where we talked about who could join. Finally we added Jen and Van as they had amazing applications and seemed like lovely people! Welcome guys! Hugs
Li xx On Sunday the Frosties were just doing what they do best.... chilling. Sorry excuse my humor! It was a normal Sunday, the cries of pain at training and homework! Some of the Frosties were enjoying their last days using transport before no transport week started on Monday! However, the normal Sunday routine was interrupted by the sudden (invited) arrival of Georgia Wolfwood. Welcome to FR Geo! Hugs
