The time is finally here for brand new RIs. We've increased the amount from the original 6 because we now only have 2 leaders instead of four. So instead of 4 leaders, we're having 8 RIs. The votes went underway and there wasn't really any clear winners. There were about 8 people all with 5 - 8 votes and all of whom had been in FR a long time, were active etc etc. We then focused on tiny things to choose who actually got it. When did they join? Had they been involved in any mini recent drama? How many events have they run? How active are they on Instagram? Skype? Whatsapp? So in the end we were left with four people so well done to:
Emily Mistwood Caitlin Lightlake Willow Sparrowluck Paige Waterfall You all deserve it so much! And thank you to everyone for voting and being supportive of the choice. Ever since I took over the club (exactly 6 months to this day) people have been asking about co owner and today the questions have been answered. For the last month I have felt like Llama and Pou have been acting as co owners so as a formality, as of yesterday, they were officially made the co owners of FR. Well done!

Khaírete! Apollo, Thor, Zeus, Hera and the rest - Greek Gods. It was time for FRs knowledge on these ancient beings to be tested as they gathered in white and gold under the shadow of the old fort at Fort Pinta. The event was run by Sandy Shadowbear and the first thing was everyone was divided up into groups for a quiz full of stuff that I totally (coughs) understood. (Things like who is the Greek God of the Forge?) Then there was a question relay race where you'd answer the question and do the course. Well done everyone who took part, it was truly awesome and thank you Sandy for a very unique and original event! ἀμφιπτυχή
Li xx Ps, Hephaestus is the God of the forge. The Frosties gathered in their PJs in their natural habitat ready for a camp out hosted by Willow Sparrowluck. We all got into the tent and told each other some stories... I think that my story was amazing, so I hope Cait didn't mind being removed (and added back of course)! Then it was time to warm ourselves up with a quick game of chase me charlie. Don't fall into the freezing water though! We also finally had the space to welcome Hanna Mysterystorm who has been coming to open events and certainly deserves the space. But the real quest of the event is... "Who's Baget?" Thank you all for coming and thank you Willz for coming.
Hugs Li xx Yesterday was the filming of the YouTube advert that will go on the home page of the website. I was too focused on filming to get many photos but I think that I got a lot of awesome footage, you'll have to wait and see! I hope to get the advert edited as soon as possible. However, I am taking about 1.5 hours worth of footage down to about a minute. Excuse me if it takes a while! Thank you to everyone who came and well done to: Lousia Bluepie, Dalma Diamondgirl, Emily Mistwood, Grace Whalepaw, Ivy Bunnlake, Eva Lightningbrooke, Caitlin Lightlake, Alessia Nightknight, Ellie Applegrove and Ruby Riverbell who all helped with the video by providing me with the voice over. I need to stop talking and get editing!
This open event, everyone came in Alice in Wonderland outfits (FR changed later). It was time to leap down the rabbit hole into FRs crazy open event! No Alice in Wonderland event would be complete without a caucus race! The players ran around and when I said "caucus" they all came to me and dismounted. The last three people to dismount were out! In the end, the winners of this game were Julia Mooselake and Ivy Bunnylake. Well done both! Next, we played a game of "The Queen says..." which is like Simon says. I got a few people out as I acted if some of the things were part of the event... opps. I made lots of the "orders" positive like "say something good about yourself" "say something good about someone else" etc. It was really nice to see everyone saying good stuff for once. Then, I told everyone to hug Pou... The game was over so what does the Mad Hatter like best? A good old tea party! So we hacked to Jarlaheim. Where we then proceeded to take over the cafe. Everyone wanted to sit with me though, so I ran away... Ahhh it was time to decided who to add. It's always so so so hard because everyone is awesome but in the end we added quite a few people (more than normal, I'm surprised we had the space):
So a massive welcome guys! Joining is taking longer and longer but you all certainly deserve it. I have updated the shortlist, moving up and rearranging everyone on it plus adding Allison, Ellie and Arnaude. So thank you all for coming! I'm so sorry that it takes so long to join, I wish I could add most of you right now!
Hugs Li xx First, welcome to the amazing Hazel Mistgirl who joined yesterday! Finally, we got to find out what the Mystery Duo event was. It was run at short notice which is why not everyone would have been aware that it was on. We started off by making a line in our pairs. Then, based on three clues, we had to try and find the event host Ruby Riverbell. Well done to everyone who found her and well done to Rubs for hosting a fabulous event. Remember, the open event is tomorrow!
Hugs Li xx Sunday's event was the Hunger Games. It was meant to be done by Duska Miststone but due to RL she couldn't make it so I took over. Sorry everyone for the confusing time! The Frosties then made a circle and 3, 2, 1, GONG, the games began. Frostie after Frostie was "killed" as the arena got smaller and smaller until only a handful were left, battling it out at the race track. In the end Willow Sparrowluck won but well done everyone and may the odds be forever in your favour!
Hugs Li xx I'm a little bit behind on blogging the events so here I am catching up! So on Saturday, the original host was sadly ill and couldn't make the event so FR decided to go on a crazy mountain climbing adventure! We then met at Goldspurs and I took them on this route up the side of the path that leads to Forgotten Fields. The first bit is certainly the hardest! A little while later, almost everyone had finally reached the top. We then walked up the rock to the very top where you have a good view of Devil's Gap. FR hugged at the top because, well, because we can. Then we all met at Inn By the Bridge. There we climbed this, the first part is certainly harder. Once most people had made it we took a secret route to newb hideout. It's secret because it's a special place the only the club may know about! As you can see, lots of people never made it to newb hideout! Oh well, thank you all for coming to this impromptu event.
Hugs Li xx Today's event was a habitat event. It was meant to be hosted by Sara Windstar who couldn't make it so in the end Ivy Bunnylake ran it - thank you Sarr for the planning and Bunny for hosting. The club met at the Summer House dressed as animals. We had everything from star fish to dogs! Next, we were all broken up into groups of 5 to make a habitat thing with our animals. So they'd be eating, chasing each other etc. In my group, we all ended up eating each other (I'm shamed to say that even though I was a panda, the ladybird ate me). Then, Ivy Bunnylake had to log off so I took over the event and we played a little random chasing game which few people actually got out on so loads of people won! Oh well, the event was enjoyable and made me laugh.
Thank you everyone for coming and I hope to see you at the event on Saturday! Hugs Li xx Thursday’s open event (yes, it’s been moved to Thursday) started in two long lines as normal. I then divided everyone roughly into groups of 4 (two FR, two non FR) before we hacked to the Riding Hall. Then, everyone made a quadrille routine (which is like group dressage). It had to be under a minute and they had about 10 minutes to practice. The routines started. There were ten groups and I think I got around 70 photos? So here are some of the best pictures I had! I did choose winners but I’m not actually going to say who won because I couldn’t really choose and I think everyone was truly amazing, the standard was so high! It was time to do the adding people thing. It was a really hard choice, it gets harder every time! We choose based on how many open events each person has come to and then if a group of people have al come to the same amount, it comes down to nominations. So, just because you didn’t get in doesn’t mean that the club didn’t love you (some people got loads of votes but just didn’t get to join because others had come to more events). I’m updating the shortlist soon so well done to everyone who got on that. But a big welcome to Kailey Kittensmith and Ivy Highberg! Also, you can watch the video below! |
