It's almost the end of 2016 and it's time for awards! Everyone in FR could win the award for being kind, amazing and more so I turned to jokey awards. Obviously you shouldn't set too much store by this just because someone has one award doesn't mean that you aren't amazing at that thing as well! Click on a certificate to see what you got them for with a short explaination. Well done everyone! Happy 2017. I hope that you are all behaving with the leaders in charger. I'll be back on Monday..

We had a great open event last night. Lots of people came and it is always lovely to see the interest that people have in joining FR! It started off in the usual fashion with two lines, one for FR and one for the people who wanted to join. We then made a big circle to play a game of “What are you doing”. One person performs an action in the circle and another person asks them ‘What are you doing’. They answer with a made up action that both of them then do. Then the next person comes in to ask ‘What are you doing?’ and the first leaves the circle. This keeps going until everyone has had a go. Finally, we hacked to the ice cream parlour in Jorvik City where we had some food and announced who would be joining FR that day. It was a hard choice but we chose: Priscilla Shadowbridge, Lola Snowcake, Maria Birchland and Emily Mistwood. Welcome to FR! Hugs
Li xx We had an amazing open event yesterday hosted by our leader Caitlin Lightlake. Lots of people came (about 50), including Heroic Swallows, Red Hawks and Cloud Dreamers. Also there were many people on the joining lists and people who just wanted to have a bit of fun. It started with a hack big from Steve’s Farm to Valedale (we went the long way via Forgotten Fields). At Valedale we played a game of Bulldog which was great fun. The overall winner turned out to be Lilah Applewood! We ended the event with a hack to the Valley of the Frozen Mist. Thank you so much everyone for coming and the normal open event will be tonight! Hugs
Li xx Let day two of the elven games commence! Today there was sleigh racing. Each team had a Rudolph to guide the sleigh, two other reindeers and a Santa. Rudolph would go first, followed by the reindeers side by side and finally Santa at the back. They stayed in this formation around a course that the event leader Rebecca Archstorm made. It was lots of fun and well done to the final winning sled comprised of: Alice Dawnson, Madelyn Nightmountain, Lauren Lightiningvalley and Bethany Puppypaw.
Hugs Li xx Yay, first very late post is here! Over the Christmas period I just haven’t had any time for little things such as writing blog posts so here it is! Today was the first day of the elven games. Everyone brought their reindeer (or North Swedish Horses) to the riding hall where we did some endurance riding. Everyone was shown a course and they had to ride around it until they got a caring symbol. It went on for longer then expected by in the end the places were:
12th - Lola Silentwood 11th - Bella Longsmith 10th - Alice Southheart 9th - Ruby Riverbell 7th - Donna Nightvalley and Bethany Puppypaw 6th - Danielle Diamondnest 5th - Paige Ponyblanket 4th - Alessia Nightknight 2nd - Sophia Puppyvalley and Lauren Lightningvalley 1st - Annie Mistnest Well done everyone and thanks for coming! Hugs Li xx Had day number 2 of our Christmas week today run by Alice Dawnson. We all started in the normal elf and Santa outfits at Steve’s Farm! The aim of the game was to find the naughty Santa and Gingerbread man, both of whom had snuck off and hidden. They gave the clue to the other person’s hiding place before running off to the next one! The elves finally caught them at Moorland where the fastest elves were Donna Nightvalley and Elizabeth Ponyson. Second went to Bella Longsmith and Bethany Puppypaw. Third was given to Alessia Nightknight, Sophia Puppyvalley and Ellie Applegrove. Well done to all of the teams! Hugs
Li xx First day of theme week! The Santas and the elves all met at Jarlaheim for the first event. It was a good turnout, overall about 18 people! Everyone had to collect the 4 wish lists around Jorvik and they then had to make the presents off the list by answering questions. You got different amounts of the points based on how easy/ hard the present was the make 9and therefore the question was to answer). The more wish lists you found, the more points you could get as the more presents you could make! Here is a photo of each group and if you click on the picture you will see the final score. The winner overall for the event was Courtney Hayfoot as her whole team left her but she won alone anyway! She will get all of the winning points and her team will get one apiece. Hugs
Li xx Okay, it’s very late but it’s here! On Tuesday we had an amazing open event, loads of you came and I shall be updating the shortlist in just a minute. I was slightly late for the event due to real life commitments but I managed to get there after everyone had been sorted into groups, this was a perfect chance to meet some FR members. They then had to find out who stole the Mustangs. From Greendale, to Fort Pinta, to Golden Hills they followed the their using clues. In the forest, he decided that he felt bad and he put the Mustangs back! We all had to go and make sure of this at the farm. After a giant line we had a massive hack, it was so long that I couldn’t get everyone in the photo! We had our traditional picnic and then we talked about who we wanted to add. We finally decided on Hayden Mcborn, Paige Ponyblanket, Lola Silentwood and Alice Southeast. Welcome guys! It was an amazing event! It’s Christmas week in FR now. I will now update the shortlist and points will be done when someone actually sends in their points. I’m making a list of people who haven’t been sending in their points on time so that they won’t be able to run another event for 2 months.
Hugs Li xx Today in Frosty Roses we had our St. Lucia event! St. Lucia is a festival which is celebrated in many countries including Sweden, which is why we celebrated it today. Everyone voted for our Lucia who was Elizabeth Eveningnight and then dressed up in various outfits, from candle holders to Santas to Gingerbread men! We paraded around Aideen’s Plaza and Governor’s Falls, before taking over the Ice Cream Parlour for some very important announcements . That’s right! The brand new riding instructors are Alice Dawnson and Bethany Puppypaw! Both have been in Frosty Roses for a very long time, you can see that they are active from their points and they are always included (and including others) in chats. If you ever want a chance at being a RI, you must be active and talk lots!
Hugs Li xx On Saturday we had a lovely event run by Elise Windfeather! We met at Silverglade Equestrian Centre on Morgans and it was time to show off our racing gear. We then had a hack to the Overlook Chasm arena where we played Bulldog and Stuck in the Mud! Thank you everyone who came, and a big thank you to Emily Mountainbaker who won the event for being the most helpful! Also well done to Elise as it was her first event and she ran it calmly and it was clearly well planned! Hugs
