Hello everyone! This week's open event was pirate themed. So, without further a do, let's get on with it! As normal, everyone was divided up into three groups. Within these groups, they played a game of "Captain says" and did a fashion walk. They also had a chance to introduce themselves and get to know some of the members of the club better. After this, we all met up at Everwind fields for big photo. Of course, it was then time for the traditional picnic. After much deciding, we made our choice about who was joining. So a big welcome to Valentina Moosewright, Ellie Applegrove and April Easthurricane! So many welcomes to the club, it's great to have you here! Thanks all for coming, we might not have had enough space this time, but there's always the future. Lots of you have been added to the shortlist and joining list (which can be found here and here) so please do check them out!

Ok, so I'm just mixing two evenings with the club into one post hear. So, firstly, on the 8th March, we surprised Zoey Cutebear that she would be joining FR! She had been super close to joining so a while so it was great to finally welcome her into our family. Afterwards, some Frosties and I went on a little climbing trip around GED for some fun jumping on things. Recently, FR has been in love with the disco so, on Saturday (10th March) we all did a bit of dancing together while chatting about the predictably random stuff that just comes up on our group chats. Naturally, when I decided to take a seat everyone decided to invade my personal space... And there was even a fox in the photo (I hate foxes)!! Basically, two random and chill evenings with the family.
Hugs Li xx Another regular open event. I counted about 45 people at this one which probably explains why no one could see each other. However, as normal we split up into three groups hosted by Paige Waterfall, Aricela Riverlake and Caitlin Lightlake (one of them still hasn't sent me their photo so that's why there are only two photos). Today's event was focused around teamwork. Not only is it a really import skill, but working in groups allows non-FRs to work with the Frosties and get to know each other better. There was several different games hosted by Allison Cloudmore, Sabrina Nightborn and Eva Lightningbrooke. After 45 minutes of games (and a few admin things that we do at open events to give everyone the best possible chance of joining) we all met up at Firgrove. I hope I got as many people as possible in the photos from here on, but SSO makes it very hard to see all of the players in game which means that lots of people may have been there, just not in my photos! It was then time for a hack for our picnic. At the picnic, everyone in FR started telling me who they wanted to join. It is always quite difficult to decide who to add but today we added Eleanor Moonpaw, Hannah Dolphincamp and Sophia Puppyvalley! (This time, the photo is after joining because two certain leaders weren't in the original photo and really wanted to be.) Lots of people have been added to the shortlist and joining list or moved up on it. I hope to see everyone who came at the next open event! But, until then...
Hugs Li xx On the 20th February, after our trivia event, we made the decision to welcome a new member to our family. Georgia Winterrider had been hanging out with FR and coming to open events for a while and many many members wanted to her to join, so that's just what happened! Here is FR giving her a massive welcome hug:
This is very late and I'm currently playing catch-up on all of the FR blog posts, but I will get all of the events blogged asap! The day after Valentine's day, we did our regular open events. Everyone was split into three groups (lead by Aricela Riverlake, Allison Cloudmore and Eva Lightningbrooke) and came dressed in Valentine's day themed clothes. There were a few Valentine's games in the groups (as well as normal introductions) before everyone met up at the end, in Fort Pinta, for a hack. We settled down, all on top of each other, for a picnic near Silverglade Equestrian Center while FR made the difficult decisions about who would be joining. It's always really hard but we try to get there in the fairest way possible, as well as the best way for all involved! Lots of people got onto the shortlist, joining list and also moved up on both of those but the 2 joining today were Connie Ravenwood and Alice Pinesmith. So many welcome hugs you two! I hope to see everyone at the next open event.
Hugs Li xx A few days ago, the remake of the North Swedish horse came out, so it was time for FR to make the already beautiful horse make it look even more beautiful at a little photo shoot together. Then we decided to test it out with the wild horse feature. Has anyone else noticed that these horses move around so much so it's impossible to get a nice picture? Recently, we've been adding people outside of open events (because spaces are frequently becoming rarer, we are just giving them out when they appear) so we surprised Brooke Oaklund and Annie Cloudrider with a space each! A massive welcome hug to both of you. Shortlist and interest list have now been updated. Expect Valentine's open event details to be coming through to all on the interest list soon.
Li xx Hello everyone! Another week means another open event and so here it is! As always, everyone met at Dews Farm before being split into three separate events hosted by Caitlin Lightlake, Paige Waterfall and Allison Cloudmore. Each event followed the same activities! After each WL member introduced themselves, Olivia Deerdotter, Sabrina Nightborn and Eva Lightningbrooke hosted some games before we all met at Silverglade Village for a hack. In line with tradition, after the hack it was time to sit down and have a little picnic while FR told me who they wanted in the club and I started to decide who we were adding. Having so many amazing people at the event, it's always so hard to choose who to add. But these two were very popular in the club and have been trying to join for a while so welcome Regan Purpleborn and Nikolett Highfoot! The shortlist will be updated soon. Even if you didn't make it onto the shortlist the only way to get on is to keep coming - you will in the end. Thank you all for coming, I always really enjoy the open events and I hope other people do as well.
Hugs Li xx Before the event started, we had a little new addition to the club - welcome Sash! Rather than add people at the open event (as we were full) we used a space we got during the week for Sasha. Then the actual event began. We all gathered on our ponies in nice Summery clothes. You wouldn't even know that it is Winter. The event was hosted by Willow Sparrowluck, so she showed everyone a race track around Fort Pinta. Then everyone lined up and the race began! Well done to everyone who won the race. This race involved at lot of fails and it was followed by some clues to hunt a few helpers down. I hope this event helped with the Summery mood because we have a while to wait!
Just a tiny bit late... But I'm just getting into getting this up and running again so! We've been trying a new system at open events recently. Instead of having everyone at one event, we've been doing three (or four) different events. Everyone arrives and we split them into groups. This allows for everyone to see each other, which wasn't possible before. This week Paige Waterfall (leader), Allison Cloudmore (RI) and Aricela Riverlake (RI) ran events. In the future, please try to have even numbers of people attending each event! I think people didn't go to the ones that they got told to go to. I wandered around between events (and an old ghost of FR - Ava Northstar -, the previous owner joined me). Everyone was asked to write a paragraph about themselves before doing a quiz of the updates of 2017 to celebrate the old year. At around 7:20, we all met up again for a picnic. Now it was time to decide who was joining and who would be going on the SL. After much debate, it was decided that Ivy Dawnfiled and Molly Silentmoon most deserved the places, so a massive welcome! You can find all of the people on the SL here. But thanks everyone who came, no matter if you joined or made the SL - it was great to meet you. Remember, the more you come the bigger the chance you'll have of moving up on the list.
Hugs Li xx Happy Birthday SSO! Today's open event was in honor of SSO's sixth birthday so we all met in our blue clothes in the normal place, ready for the open event. Caitlin Lightlake was running this event, so we hacked to the Riding Hall, ditched our horses and just generally took over arena A. Cait then asked us questions about SSO. They were multiple choice questions so you had to run to the letter that the answer corresponded to in 10 seconds. The first game ended in one round and was won by Eva Frogcake and the second game (which was a lot longer) was won by Britney Sharkhaven - well done lads. It wouldn't be a birthday event without having some cake and siting at the table. What we didn't expect is that the table was actually too long for everyone to sit on! You can't see but down the end everyone is squashing each other like mad. It was then time for votes, four people were voted to be added to the shortlist, five people to be moved and and two people were voted to join. So a massive welcome to Ursula Moonwood and Ashley Easthunter - you've been in the club two days now and I can honestly say that you fit in perfectly and we are all so happy to welcome you in the Frostie family! Once the open event was over, it was time for some FR tradition. In 2015, Ava Northstar took a photo of FR at the birthday cake (see bottom right). In 2016, she did it again (see top left). And this year, 2017, it was my turn. I think that these photos illustrate the club perfectly. How it hatched and grew under V's ownership and will continue to grow under mine. I'm not just talking about the amount of people at events, as that hasn't changed since 2016, I'm talking about the way that our family grows. Once a Frostie, always a Frostie. Regardless of where or why you go, FR will always be a part of you because that's what we always have been and that's what we always will be.
