It's that time again when it's time for an open event! We started off in our traditional lines at Dew's Paddock. Then, we decided to get into a circle and play a game of splat. I would say someone's name and that person had to dismount from their horse and the people either side had to say "splat". The last person to say "splat" was out. Well done to everyone who survived! We then all met at Jarlaheim to organise ourselves into groups where everyone had to make a play about the Toothfairy being kidnapped. We only had time to watch two sadly, but I'm sure they were all good. Then, it was time for the worse part of the event, time to choose who to join. I know it's why most (if not all) of the people come to the events, but it's so hard to meet about 15 amazing people, who all seem so lovely, and then have to say to most of them "sorry you're not joining today". We thought hard though and, so, the new members of FR are: Eva Frogcake Lucy Applestone April Oakfall (who for various reasons couldn't be in the photo below) Five people were added to the shortlist and six people moved up on it! To everyone who didn't make the shortlist, or didn't get to join this time, please bear in mind that the three who joined have been to multiple events and even then they were very close with the club. The only way I can promise you a place is if you keep coming until the time is right. I understand it takes a while but good things come to those who wait!

This weeks themed was Ancient Greece. I love the Ancient Greeks (although I do have my well known hatred for Percy Jackson), I think they're so fascinating so I naturally wanted to an event based on them! Everyone either wore or brought clothes for being an Ancient Greek and we met at the Dews Arena. As always, thank you so many of you for coming - it's so amazing! We then hacked to Fort Pinta beach. If you come to an open event you an almost always expect a hack somewhere because it's a good way to get places while being able to talk to people - which is what the open events are all about. When we arrived, we made a line ready for a fashion show. After a little incident (where no one follows me haha), everyone started walking around in a catwalk to show off their outfits. Each one of the owners selected three of their favourites and then from that, we chose the placing. We only placed our favourite 7 but there were so many there that we obviously couldn't look properly at everyone. 7th - Ivy Bunnylake 6th - Ambra Ponyluck 5th - Sylvie Mountainstar 4th - Katelyn Eaglecloud 3rd - Molly Firefeather 2nd - Allison Cloudmore 1st - Abbie Sharksmith We then learned a very short track for the Olympic races. They had to do the track three times, here are some of the people on their second lap. The race was won by Lilian Flowergarden with Sabrina Nightborn coming 2nd with Scarlett Haywright in a close third. Everyone then got ready for chariots by getting in groups. They had to do the track but in a formation with the two horses and the front and the driver behind. They weren't allowed to break formation. The winners were Molly Firefeather, Allison Cloudmore and Katelyn Eaglecloud's team - well done. Then it was time for the nominations. The club nominated 11 people to join but we only had 3 spaces so seven people joined the shortlist but today Abbie Sharksmith, Olivia Deerdotter and Slyvie Mountainstar joined FR - a massive welcome to the three of you and lots of hugs, I hope you love our "little" family as much as we do! Thank you all for coming, I'll see you all in two weeks!
Hugs Li xx At the last open event, Lauren Wolfhall got the most nominations to join but the place was given to Molly Firefeather as she's been coming to open events a lot longer. Instead of joining, Wolfy earned herself a place at the top of the shortlist and, this week, when we had some space we invited her to join and are delighted that she accepted. Welcome Wolfy! It's lovely for you to join our family.
For no reason besides the fact that I wanted everyone in awesome animal outfits, I made everyone come as animals to the open event! We had everything from frogs, to cats, to lions. Everyone lined up to look fabulous for the starting event photo! We than went for a little hack and got into three lines to prepare for a game. The person to the right of you (and the people behind/ in front of them) were your prey and you'd point at them to eat them while avoiding the person to the left of you (and the person behind/ in front of them) from eating you. If you were eaten you were out so well done everyone who survived! We then played a game of "Who am I?". It was time for a little hack to Fort Pinta Beach to have something to eat. It was time for the nominations. Well done everyone who got put on the shortlist and a massive welcome hug to Aurora Lowdaughter, Sofia Pinehaven and Sophia Dawnmountain (who actually joined last night as she had to log off)!
We did a little clear out of the club a while ago and since we've had a few spaces, it's such a luxury to be able to add people when we want. Today we added Kate (Foggy) so a massive welcome Kate! There may be a couple more people to follow in joining as well. I then decided to go and take a few photos with my starter horse but then I got found first by Amby and Willz.... And then Froggy (not to be confused with Foggy) came to join us. Hello Froggy! But then it grew a little bit more as people went for the challenge of finding us trolls under the bridge. And so it turned into a little celebration of the starter starter era. For the first time I'm going to say this about starters - we love you!
This open event was such a big throwback to when I was only 5 and I loved the Rainbow Fairy books. I was literally obsessed! For those who don't know, Rainbow Fairies are a collection of children's books (and when I say collection, I mean hundreds) of adventures of two girls, Kirsty and Rachel, as they help fairies overcome Jack Frost and his henchmen (goblins) evilness. Everyone came dressed as a fairy of their choice and brought a green goblin outfit! The first part of the event was a fashion show so everyone took it in turns to line up and introduce the fairy they were dressed as. Their outfit was then compared to the fairy and here were the winners. 1st Sophia Dawnmountain- Sophia came as Poppy the Piano fairy and we thought it was very original that she used her horse as the piano! 2nd Sandy Shadowbear - Sandy's outfit was very similar to the very beautiful Mia the Bridemaid fairy. 3rd Caitlin Lightlake - Cait surprised us (not) with dressing at Caitlin the Ice Bear fairy. Her name matched the fairy as much as her outfit! 4th Ambra Ponyluck - Amby came as Zoe the Skating fairy and we were very impressed by how similar her hat was. 5th Willow Sparrowluck - Grace the Glitter fairy was remade beautifully by Willz, well done on 5th! 6th Paige Waterfall - Isabelle the Ice dance fairy was very recognizable in Pai's outfit. 7th Molly Firefeather+ Sandy Steelstar - They both came as Holly the Christmas fairy. Maybe a slightly easier outfit to make but still on fleek! Next it was time for a game of "Fastest fairy". It was like Bulldog but I was Jack Frost and I caught the fairies by pointing at them. If they were pointed at, they had to change into their green clothes and could also catch people but they weren't allowed to move. The last on standing was the winner. The game was won by the fabulous Lilian Flowergarden and Hazel Mistgirl - congratulations. We then did our traditional hack. And time for a picnic while we decide who to fill up our one space with (we removed someone and made it to two). It was finally decided to add Riley Autumnleaf and Violet Dolphinpie with Aaliyah Snowheart, Sophia Dawnmountain, Ellie Archside and Molly Firefeather being added to the shortlist. Plus, all other people from the shortlist who attended are being boosted up a few spaces on the list although most of them will have mails about joining winging their way out to them over the next few days as we did a little clear out. Welcome everyone and thank you so much for coming! After the event we just chilled at Steve's for a bit. Thank you very much all for coming and welcome Vimto and Riley!
Hugs Li xx Here we go again, another open event - bring it on. This time it was Harry Potter themed so everyone came in (or with in the case of FR) their Hogwarts House colours - I'm Ravenclaw! We then played a game of Quidditch SSO style. We played it slightly different to last time but I won't go into details because Weebly has a habit of deleting my work. After the game, we gathered back at the arena. It was then time to choose who was going to join - tough right? It always is when you meet about 12 amazing people who all say they want to join and you think they'd all fit in and you could add them right now. But, we had to choose (which is why we have a system) so a massive frostie welcome hug to... We also added the following to the shortlist as they were very close to joining and we hope they will join the crew in the future:
FR loves to Skype, so after the event we just started hanging out and chatting in a massive call together. We then ran around GED and even found a new place to climb! Thank you for the fabulous evening - I love you all so much. Welcome again to the new members and thank you all for coming! Hugs
Li xx The Frosties gathered in their PJs in their natural habitat ready for a camp out hosted by Willow Sparrowluck. We all got into the tent and told each other some stories... I think that my story was amazing, so I hope Cait didn't mind being removed (and added back of course)! Then it was time to warm ourselves up with a quick game of chase me charlie. Don't fall into the freezing water though! We also finally had the space to welcome Hanna Mysterystorm who has been coming to open events and certainly deserves the space. But the real quest of the event is... "Who's Baget?" Thank you all for coming and thank you Willz for coming.
Hugs Li xx This open event, everyone came in Alice in Wonderland outfits (FR changed later). It was time to leap down the rabbit hole into FRs crazy open event! No Alice in Wonderland event would be complete without a caucus race! The players ran around and when I said "caucus" they all came to me and dismounted. The last three people to dismount were out! In the end, the winners of this game were Julia Mooselake and Ivy Bunnylake. Well done both! Next, we played a game of "The Queen says..." which is like Simon says. I got a few people out as I acted if some of the things were part of the event... opps. I made lots of the "orders" positive like "say something good about yourself" "say something good about someone else" etc. It was really nice to see everyone saying good stuff for once. Then, I told everyone to hug Pou... The game was over so what does the Mad Hatter like best? A good old tea party! So we hacked to Jarlaheim. Where we then proceeded to take over the cafe. Everyone wanted to sit with me though, so I ran away... Ahhh it was time to decided who to add. It's always so so so hard because everyone is awesome but in the end we added quite a few people (more than normal, I'm surprised we had the space):
So a massive welcome guys! Joining is taking longer and longer but you all certainly deserve it. I have updated the shortlist, moving up and rearranging everyone on it plus adding Allison, Ellie and Arnaude. So thank you all for coming! I'm so sorry that it takes so long to join, I wish I could add most of you right now!
Hugs Li xx First, welcome to the amazing Hazel Mistgirl who joined yesterday! Finally, we got to find out what the Mystery Duo event was. It was run at short notice which is why not everyone would have been aware that it was on. We started off by making a line in our pairs. Then, based on three clues, we had to try and find the event host Ruby Riverbell. Well done to everyone who found her and well done to Rubs for hosting a fabulous event. Remember, the open event is tomorrow!
